Power source? What power source?

As most of you may know, and if you don't, shame on you, the Donkey Kong games mostly take place in deep, dense jungles. Jungles on an island, just near a few other islands. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong regularly watch television and/or play video games and/or listen to the radio, while King K. Rool and his henchmen may occasionally sit down in front of a computer to annoy people on Facebook.

Well, except not really. (this image is purely fictional, I made it myself.)

Not really internet, though. K. Rool does own a snazzy PC thingy that he uses to play games with, among some more stuff. However, what has been bothering me - where did they get the power from, to use electrical appliances?

I have been paying a little bit more attention to Physics at my school, and we're at the chapter electricity and power now. Power is what one needs to have working electrical appliances. Power usually comes from power stations. Power stations most often are ginormous, take up a lot of space, and produce electricity for others to use, to, say, watch TV. However, there are no power stations in sight anywhere on DK Isle, nor Crocodile Isle. Well, used to be for the latter, at least, as it sunk... But alas. No power stations at all! There might be some at Showdown Town, but that's quite a swim from DK Isle.

So how in the world is DK able to watch television?

Well, what I also learned, is that there are other things to get power from. Natural power sources, like wind, water, and sunlight, that don't pollute the environment. Now, the whole Kong family may have some kind of generators for either sunlight or water, behind their huts and dwellings, that produce electricity, so the apes and monkeys can watch as much television as they like. And they don't even have to pay for their electricity! I am guessing that K. Rool had something similar in his old hideout. And that the former Kremkroc Industries that are built on the very top of DK Isle also produced some power, but since that place had fallen into a state of disrepair, nobody has been able to get power from it recently.

But there comes another error - how would DK (and K. Rool for that matter, if Krusha watching the Sing Along With Uncle Swampy Show is of any significance) be able to watch television if he can't get the signals?
He just has very good-working signal-receivers on his ol' TV. That thing is so strong, apparently it can even get in signals from the Mushroom Kingdom as shown in Mario VS. Donkey Kong 2. Even though I don't think highly of that game, think about it.
An alternate dimension, people. I want that television.
Showdown Town, as mentioned earlier, is the capital of the Isle o' Hags, and thus, it has a few hundred visitors a day, who usually buy shirts that say 'I've visited Showdown Town and all I got was this lousy shirt!'. To stay relevant, Showdown Town could have some power plants and similar things which broadcast TV shows all around the Rare Isle Chain. Same for Grunty Industries. It seems to produce more than just pants, after all. Moving on...

Actually, I think I'm done here. Making sense of these games is so much fun and truly one of the things that differentiates DKC, Banjo-Kazooie and Conker from other games. Hmm hmm.
